A Disturbing Mystery

How do people get this far in life not understanding the differences and correct usages of your and you're, along with there, their and they're?????????????????????

Darwin's "survival of the fittest" has no merit here. People are born, grow up, go to college, get jobs, get old and die, never understanding grammar.

It chills me to the bone. Is this one of you're pet peeves?

Oh, you know me. I never let stuff like this get under my skin... :)

I think this is why you're friends with the girls in my apartment. :D

And, as of late, I also don't understand "definately" and "rediculous" because, as one of my roommates pointed out, you're "definitely not 'diculousing' *again*."

Ditto. Me too. Amen. All of the above.

While this does bother me (really bad), I know that I sometimes slip up and make the same mistake (especially when I'm writing when I'm tired), so I try not to take out my anger on the person who made such a silly mistake! We all make mistakes (maybe just not this one). :)

Diane,

Are you prejudiced against people that never had the opportunity to grow up with school-house rock?
